How to remove RAM
As you install more and more applications or run memory intensive games/tools on your computer, you will soon realize that the current amount of RAM you have is not enough. This is the moment when you need to remove RAM from the board and purchase more. You will also need to remove RAM when the RAM just malfunctions, so this is a great skill to have.
In order to remove RAM from your computer, you will first need to open the case carefully, in order to access the interior of your computer.
Start by using a screwdriver and unscrewing the screws that are maintaining the side panel of your computer.
Once you remove the side panel you will be able to see the motherboard, and locating the RAM will be very easy, since you will be looking for some small green boards.
Usually, RAM is located near the fan and the processor, so you should be able to locate it very fast.
You will need to press the small side panels near your RAM unit, as this is what keeps it into place. In order to remove a RAM board, you will need to press both of these panels at the same time, as the process will lift the board so you can safely remove it.
Once the process is completed, all you have to do is to safely remove the board manually and that’s it, you can easily add new RAM to your computer.
