Oculus VR Hardware Requirements Leave a comment

Oculus VR is maybe one of the best and certainly one of the most affordable types of VR hardware that you can find on the market. Ever since it was launched, Oculus has impressed us with the tremendous value and quality. It’s amazing in its own right, and it clearly shows the value you can get and the experience being brought to the table.

The downside with VR and Oculus as well is the fact that you do end up with a rather massive hardware requirement. It’s important to try and adjust as well as adapt and see what works for you to make things run the way you want. Don't try and run Oculus for gaming on lower specs hardware than what is supported unlike most games, VR applications will warn you or won't even load if the resources don't meet the requirements.

Why Oculus VR?

There are many reasons why Oculus VR is a great purchase. Maybe the best one is the fact that it allows you to move around without having a huge setup in your home. You can install the Oculus VR hardware and you are good to go. There’s no need for additional sensors in your home. Many VR products do that, and it makes them really hard to install for some people. Oculus VR is only plug and play, once you plugged it in to the computer you are good to go. It certainly makes things better and more convenient, and the results themselves can be nothing short of staggering.

While Oculus VR is not portable, the improvements the company has made in the past few years show that in some time we will finally get that portability. But for now, Oculus VR is still one of the best ways to enjoy some really cool games and just have fun in some virtual words that you can explore without any issues.

A large game library

It’s important to make sure that you do whatever you can in order to reach the best results and just enjoy the experience. It’s an amazing and exciting opportunity, something that will push things to the next level in a wonderful way. There are lots of VR games like Climb VR that are only available on Oculus. So yes, if you want to have access to a large game library with VR titles, this is maybe your best bet. It’s not that expensive, in fact it’s way more affordable when compared to complex solutions. You still get support for most of the VR games on the market now, so you really get to enjoy the value and quality that you want in an immersive manner.

Regardless of what option you like the most, it’s easy to see that Oculus is bringing in some really nice features and ideas. Which systems do you recommend for VR?

We recomend our Vortex i5 PC for mid to high VR gaming. Anything lower than this spec will struggle or simply not work with VR and for high performance VR gaming the i7 VR PC will handle all games and applications on the highest settings.
